Attributed to David and linked in the title to Jeduthun, one of the temple musicians, Psalm 39 wrestles with suffering and the brevity of life. The psalmist tries to stay silent, then cannot. Like Psalm 88, it ends without resolution, and it is in Scripture anyway.
