Attributed to David, Psalm 68 is one of the most difficult psalms to translate, with many rare words. It celebrates God marching from Sinai through the wilderness to his sanctuary in Zion, perhaps sung as the ark was brought up. Its tenderness toward orphans, widows and the lonely shines amid the battle imagery.
