Psalm 23
Through the valley
The shepherd does not take us around the dark valley but walks through it with us. Read it slowly, and let the familiar words carry you both.

- verse 1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
- verse 2He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
- verse 3He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
- verse 4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
- verse 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
- verse 6Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
