The One who does not sleep
A psalm for the long hours of waiting and for the night, when the ward is quiet and sleep will not come.

- verse 1I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
- verse 2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
- verse 3He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber.
- verse 4Behold, the Protector of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
- verse 5The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is the shade on your right hand.
- verse 6The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
- verse 7The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul.
- verse 8The LORD will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.

Father, we ask You for healing. You know what we hope for and what we fear. Hold (name) in Your hands through all of it, and keep us close to You. Amen.
For the night
Lord, You never grow tired. Watch over (name) through the night, and give everyone here Your peace. Amen.
